NFC Lock privacy policy
NFC Lock does not collect, store or share any of your data. Everything the app does happens on your iPhone.
What stays on your iPhone
- The apps, categories and websites you choose to block. Apple's Screen Time gives the app hidden tokens for these, so NFC Lock never learns which apps or sites they are.
- The domains you type in.
- The ID of the NFC card you pair, used to check that the card you scan is yours.
- Your unlock length and when the current unlock ends.
None of this leaves your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
What NFC Lock does not do
- It has no accounts and no servers.
- It has no analytics, ads or tracking.
- It does not read your screen time, browsing history or app usage.
- It does not read anything stored on your NFC card beyond its ID.
Screen Time
NFC Lock uses Apple's Screen Time API to block apps and websites. Apple handles that permission, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings, Screen Time, Apps with Screen Time Access.
